February 6, 2023. Today marks another significant event for Cotabato Regional and Medical Center –Nutrition and Dietetics Department for successfully acquiring its 2nd Halal Certification from the Muslim Mindanao Halal Certification Board Inc. (MMHCBI) for its Food Service Facility after a thorough external audit conducted last December 28, 2022 which includes inspection, evaluation and scrutiny of the board in accordance with the Islamic law and Guidelines.

February 3, 2023, Cotabato Regional and Medical Center joins the celebration of the long month National Cancer Awareness this February. This year’s theme is “Close the Care Gap. Everyone deserves access to affordable, quality cancer care”. National Cancer Awareness Month is being observed to increase public awareness about cancer and encourage individuals to take action to prevent, detect, and manage the disease. Aside from promotion of early detection and treatment, this also promotes advocacy for cancer research funding.

February 2, 2023 -Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC)-Dental Department headed by Dr. Vivian S. Real together with the whole team -Dr. Annelyn Grace Sabanal-Amoc, Dr. Sharinah C. Ibrahim-Dumama, Dr. Marizle D. Daga- Luces, Dr. Renee Aaron C. Juliano and the Dental Department support staff led the kick off celebration of the Oral Health Month in Mandanas Elementary School, Rosary Heights 10, Cotabato City through the Adopt-a-School Program. The dentists conducted an oral health lecture and proper handwashing techniques to the students. They also distributed hygiene kits, demonstrated proper brushing technique, fluoride application, and distributed Information Education Campaign (IEC) materials.

February 2, 2023, Cotabato Regional and Medical Center celebrated both Liver Cancer, Viral Hepatitis and Prevention Month and Goiter Awareness Week. The collaboration of 3 health programs namely Digestive Health Program, Thyroid/ Goiter Health Awareness, and the STD/ AIDS Prevention and Control Program conducted a lay forum at the Cotabato City National High School (Main Campus). Collaboration among three different health programs can bring a range of benefits like increased efficiency, greater reach, and improved resource utilization.
