CONTINUOUS IMPLEMENTATION OF
COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS AT CRMC
Although the City of Cotabato is already under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) per IATF-EID Resolution No 40 dated 27 May 2020, still the possibility of transmission of the COVID-19 in the community remains a threat. Hence, continuous implementation of safety measures against COVID-19 as identified below shall be implemented by the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC).
1. One watcher per patient except on cases wherein additional one watcher is required / needed;
2. No visitors allowed;
3. Monitoring of body temperature through thermal scanner in the entrance/ exit of the hospital (Emergency Room, Hospital Canopy, and Oncology Building);
4. Use of alcohol at the main entrance;
5. Use of face masks; and
6. Observe social distancing.
Likewise, all incoming patients whether, walk-in or referrals are subjected to COVID-19 triaging and surveillance at the Emergency Room and Out-Patient Department.
Furthermore, COVID-19 testing (RT-PCR) is required to the following persons:
1. Patients who are symptomatic plus any of the following:
a. who have history of travel to areas with confirmed COVID-19 cases;
b. living in areas with confirmed COVID-19 cases; and
c. who have close contact with confirmed COVID-19 individual.
They need to be admitted first to COVID-19 Isolation Ward and transferred or admitted to regular ward once negative to RT-PCR test.
2. Patients scheduled for high risk-aerosol generating procedures (see attached list).
3. Patients who will undergo dental procedures. (see attached list).
4. Equipment technicians, suppliers or other individuals who have history of travel to areas with confirmed COVID-19 cases, living in areas with confirmed COVID-19 cases, have close contact with confirmed COVID-19 person or symptomatic.
All regular patients (Non COVID-19) are admitted in regular wards or private rooms.
