The Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) partnered with Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Maguindanao and Local Civil Registry (LCR) for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) National ID registration. With the initiative of CRMC’s Medical Center Chief, Dr. Ishmael R. Dimaren in coordination with the LGU of Cotabato City headed by our Honorable Mayor Atty. Frances Cynthia J. Guiani-Sayadi, hospital personnel and their dependents could complete the National ID registration.

The PSA-Maguindanao headed by Hadji Razulden A. Mangelen, MPA, MDM, Provincial Chief Statistic Officer and the City Civil Registrar Tohamy M. Lauban of the Cotabato City Local Civil Registry (LCR) affirmatively responded to the request of the CRMC management. Starting last November 3, 2021, six (6) PSA-Maguindanao staff set-up three (3) computers at the CRMC cafeteria to accommodate all hospital staff and their dependents.

Aside from CRMC personnel, Director Aristides Concepcion Tan of the Department of Health SOCCSKSARGEN also availed of the PhilSys registration last November 3, 2021.

The National ID is the main component of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) that paves the way for streamlined information of an individual, including, among others, his address, telephone number, driving records, loans, and others. There is no need to present other valid IDs when transacting with government and private entities such as GSIS, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, or voter’s registration if one has a Phil ID. It is expected that the printed IDs will be delivered within three (3) to five (5) months upon successful completion.

For frontline health workers, this activity is a significant relief. They do not need to leave their posts to go to a designated PhilSys area and wait in a long queue of clients.

From November 3 to 9, 2021, a total of 1,250 were catered (889 CRMC employees, 361 dependents, and others.)
